أعلنت السلطات الإيرانية إعدام رجلين شنقا صباح الأحد بتهمة التحريض على الشغب والتخريب خلال الاحتجاجات الواسعة المناهضة للحكومة في يناير، وذلك في خضم تصاعد عمليات الإعدام المرتبطة بتلك الأحداث.
وأفادت السلطة القضائية بأن الرجلين اللذين أُعدما هما عرفان إسفندياري وغول محمد محمدي، ودينا بتهمة “ربط ضباط شرطة بإشارة مرور بالحبال، وإصابتهم عبر رشقهم بالحجارة، وسكب الوقود عليهم وإحراقهم”.
